I’ve Got Something to Say About This…Customer Service

Most of the time I try to write these opinion pieces based on news articles that I have read, but this one is a bit more personal. In this day and age, there seems to be less and less emphasis customer service when it actually should be just the opposite. Companies should focus more on creating customer loyalty and doing whatever they can to keep customers, yet more companies seem to be doing the opposite. Often times, the best thing to do for a customer is just to listen and offer whatever you are capable to make the situation better. Putting Your Best Foot Forward

Have you ever questioned the value of the things that you do? Does writing words on a screen matter to anyone else? Will anyone read these words and find any worth in them? What defines you, your ambition or your skills? Do they go hand in hand, are you only as good as where you talents can take you? There are countless stories and everyday you can browse the web or YouTube and find talented people, with a variety of different skills, so is just creating enough? Isn’t it a waste when you see millions, if not billions, of hits on something simply idiotic, while something that is truly impressive only has a couple thousand? Working to Live???

Working for a living, what does that mean? We can go to a job and break our backs, at the end of our time, we get sent off, sometimes by our choice and other times not, for what? I don’t think that there are any easy answers and often it seems that questions just raise more questions. There are success stories, but how many people break out of or away from the statistics. We all want to matter, to publish, to sell, whatever it might be, yet how many actually succeed and what attributes define those who do from those who don’t?

Shake It Up

Sometimes we all get stuck! We feel like we are drifting and swaying, lost in a sea of what always is and will be, when we have the ability to change. We can’t change who we are as artists but we can reinvent and allow ourselves to see what we have created and look at it in a different way. Sometimes we need a little life in our art and we need to energize a slow beating heart. How can we find inspiration? Where do we draw our drive and determination from?

Making Time for What You Love

What is it you wait for? Are you waiting for the right idea or the right moment, flash of inspiration? What keeps us from moving and acting on the things that we want? Is it fear or lack of caring? I think that in all of it, it’s a little of both. If we go after what we want then we run the risk of failing but if we never try at all then we can say at least we didn’t fail?!
