Seeing the Beauty Despite Imperfections

Sometimes there is beauty even in imperfections. These flowers paint a pretty picture, yet you can see the dying edges. Life sometimes seems like that, no matter how perfect something is or could be, there is always something at the edges negative waiting to take over.

Sometimes it feels like no matter what you do or how far ahead you get, it will never be enough. You will always struggle, especially when those around you seem to be doing so much better. We are all told not to judge ourselves by others, but really is that even possible? I think yes and no. I think that we all have those moments when we look at someone else life and think I wish my life was like that, but then just stop and think about all the good in your life and what you would be missing.

Often when times are bad, it seems difficult to stop and see that there is good there. Despite the dark edges, there is still beauty, if you just open your eyes and look. I am a firm believer that if you still draw breathe then there is still a chance for you. I live my life that way and use it to get me through. We all have regrets, even the best of us, and we all want to do or be more, but that doesn’t mean who we are is bad or wrong.

In the end, I think all we can do is give ourselves a break. There are many beautiful and wonderful things in the world. No one is perfect and though we can strive to be, we shouldn’t beat ourselves up for the imperfections. Try to find a way to relax and see that who you are is okay. Where you are in life is okay. You are still living and moving forward, so let yourself do just that. Don’t let the worry and stress of all that you think you should be doing hold you back or down. Beauty can be found everywhere, we just have to look a little harder to see it.
