What Will Matter (poem)

I can’t give,
All I have,
For I haven’t seen,
All that there is.

What is this life,
If not but a moment,
When we fail to see,
All that is before.

Where are we going,
When we travel ahead,
Chasing our future,
All that will be.

Our present status,
Only reflects upon,
Our current feelings,
All that is today.

What is the meaning,
Of three little words,
Spoken from love,
All that really matters.

But we can’t forget,
That we are chasing a dream,
What we think that we need,
All that will fill us.

In this place we find,
A reason to live,
To give to another,
All that we can give.

Our hearts hold the answer,
To all that we question,
In the end what will matter,
All this we have done.
